Local herring run tour to explore history, significance 4-15-15

MARSHFIELD – The North and South Rivers Watershed Association will lead a van tour of local herring runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 beginning at the North River Wildlife Sanctuary. The Association's director and ecologists will lead the tour with information about the history, science and social significance of herring runs, as well as local efforts to restore them.

Pre-registration is required and can be completed at www.massaudubon.org or by calling 781-837-9400. Tickets are $12 for Mass Audubon members and $15 for nonmembers. The Sanctuary is located at 2000 Main St. in Marshfield.
