Weymouth Herring Run announces clean-up day 3-16-17

The Weymouth Herring Run will host its annual clean up at 8 a.m. April 1 at Herring Run Park, at the corner of Broad and Commercial streets in Weymouth.

Volunteers will clean up trash, cut brush, remove debris, replace ladders and paint. Those interested should dress for work along the river and dress warm.
Last year more than 100 volunteers attended, including Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Mass Bass Members and lots of boys and girls along with their parents. Most were from Weymouth but many also came from surrounding towns.
Refreshments will be provided for all volunteers.
